West Africa produces more than 70% of the world’s cocoa crop and Ghana and Ivory Coast are by far the two largest producers. Together they produce more than half the world’s cocoa beans. Their produce are viewed to be the finest in terms of quality and flavor.  We work with expert farmers in Ghana and are in partnerships with manufacturers and processors to get our supply.

The Chocolate aroma and unique taste of our Ghana cocoa powders are a result of the make-up of the beans and reactions from post-harvest processing of the raw beans including, among others, fermentation, drying, roasting and manufacturing processes.

COCOA MASS / COCOA LIQUOR

Cocoa mass is produced by fine grinding cocoa nibs into a paste. It contains both solids and cocoa butter. Our premium cocoa mass, is supplied to the chocolate industry and is used to produce chocolate and is also the basis for the production of cocoa powder and cocoa butter.

Cocoa butter is vegetable fat containing about 50~55% of fat.

We offer Pure Prime Natural butter, extracted to maintain all its extraordinary crystallization properties and the natural low fatty acid content of selected quality cocoa beans.

NATURAL COCOA CAKE

Fat is pressed out of the cocoa mass or cocoa liquor under high pressure to extract cocoa butter, leaving a solid mass of cocoa press cake. The press cake is then pulverized to form cocoa powder. We offer Natural Cocoa Cakes to Cocoa Powder manufacturers and other users.

NATURAL COCOA POWDER

 

Cocoa powder is a key ingredient in Chocolates and other savory foods and is the core of any chocolate’s flavor. It is the substance which contains the aroma, taste and color of cocoa. Our natural Cocoa powder is an unsweetened powder produced by grinding cocoa beans and pressing out the cocoa butter (fat). Natural cocoa powder is rich in minerals and offers up significant amounts of iron, magnesium and potassium, all important minerals with specific health-boosting properties.

ALKALIZED COCOA POWDER

 

Alkalized Cocoa Powder has a distinctive dark brown color and a more mellow flavor taste.

This cocoa powder is also called “Dutch-process cocoa powder” and also sometimes called "Alkalized," "European style," or "Dutched". The cocoa is washed with a potassium carbonate solution that neutralizes cocoa's acidity to a pH of 7 or more. Although all cocoa powders can vary in color from light reddish brown to a richer dark brown, the alkalized process gives the powder a noticeably darker hue.

 

Our Alkalized Cocoa Powder has a smoother, more mellow flavor with its alkaline level being determined by the customer. 

NATURAL COCOA MASS / COCOA LIQUOR 

 

Cocoa Mass is a paste of ground cocoa nibs that is created as part of the process of manufacturing cocoa butter and cocoa powders and chocolate. During the process, cocoa beans are shelled and the nibs are milled to create a thick, gritty dark brown paste called cocoa liquor or cocoa mass. This paste comprises half cocoa solids and cocoa butter.

 

Our cocoa mass, is supplied to the chocolate industry and is used to produce chocolate and is also the basis for the production of cocoa powder and cocoa butter.

NATURAL COCOA BUTTER

 

Cocoa butter, also called theobroma oil, is a pale-yellow, edible vegetable fat extracted from the cocoa bean. It is vegetable fat containing about 50~55% of fat. Cocoa butter is a primary ingredient in chocolate. Pure cocoa butter is edible. However, it contains a mixture of monounsaturated and saturated fats and few nutrients.

Benefits of cocoa butter for skincare

Cocoa butter is high in fatty acids, which is why it’s often touted for its ability to hydrate and nourish the skin and improve elasticity. The fat in cocoa butter forms a protective barrier over the skin to hold in moisture. Cocoa butter is also rich in natural plant compounds called phytochemicals. These substances may improve blood flow to the skin and slow skin aging by protecting against damage from the sun’s harmful UV rays.

 

One common use of cocoa butter is to smooth scars, wrinkles, and other marks on the skin. It is believed that cocoa butter creams and lotions can be used during and after pregnancy to prevent and minimize the appearance of stretch marks. Cocoa butter has also been promoted to heal rashes from conditions like eczema and dermatitis. Cocoa butter is a common active ingredient in lotions, creams, and lip balms.
