Who We Are
FFP Limited, popularly known as 'Flora Farm Products', started as a small farmers’ cooperative in the early 1970s providing market support in the form of seedlings to smallholder farmers who produced mainly chili pepper and eggplants and other farm produce in small rural communities around the city of Kumasi in Ghana. At the same time, we were also involved in managing hectares of family-owned farmlands, growing cocoa and oil palm trees in the Western Region of Ghana.
Today FFP Limited has grown and diversified and is actively engaged in producing food ingredients and providing a sustainable market for farm products, especially cash crops, and fresh farm produce at a fair price and working with farmers around the farming communities to guarantee sustainable income to them. We also work in partnership with our small and large holder farmers to preserve the environment and create a food security situation in the communities where we operate.
Ethical supply of healthy farm products
We are mainly engaged in the growing and processing and export of, Cocoa, Shea Butter, and Edible Seeds including Cashew Nuts and Sesame Seeds and Fresh Farm Produce including Mangoes and Pineapples. The products we offer are not only ethical but can be traced right from the source through the support given to the farmers in the form of seeds, and other inputs, and finding a market for their produce.
We work with various farmers and farmer cooperatives in promoting our business into growing and buying a focused range of agricultural products, mainly cash crops, edible nuts, and fresh farm produce. We believe the farmer should be assisted and fairly compensated for their effort in producing a better produce and we work to ensure a positive social impact on the farmers and their local communities. We not only buy and sell farm produce; we are farmers ourselves.
Furthermore, FFP Limited is now moving into the export of organic cocoa beyond growing and processing for the local market. We have gained valuable experience in managing our cocoa plantations, harvesting, fermenting, drying, and sorting the produce and getting them ready to local buyers for export.
